Windows to Nature:
Now In Every Screen.

While accompanying my dear father during his illness, his greatest wish was to leave the room: to sit by a river, watch the sea, or gaze at the mountains. My deepest desire was to carry him and take him wherever he wanted to go.

That experience made me realize how necessary and valuable natural landscapes are, especially when it is not possible to go outdoors.

For this reason, I decided to record these “windows to nature” and share them on a YouTube channel, so that any screen can be transformed into a window that conveys the serenity of a landscape.

Nature Pause

Nature Pause offers a connection with natural spaces, filmed in 4K resolution, with no camera movement and no editing. Like a painting or a still photograph, it shows us what we see when we simply sit and contemplate a landscape for 30 minutes. This project seeks to transform any everyday moment into an experience of calm and contemplation, offering scenes that bring peace and tranquility to any screen. The videos of Nature Pause are designed to be a passive companion, allowing each person to give them their own meaning and adapt them to their need for well-being.

About Me

My name is Tomás Vergara. I’m 47 and from Santiago, Chile. I’m fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world—at the foot of the Andes Mountains, with over 6,000 kilometers of coastline and a rich diversity of landscapes.

Since I was young, I’ve had a deep passion for photography and audiovisual work. I used to have a small lab in a storage room where I developed my photos and spent hours editing videos from one VHS to another. Today, I still carry those same interests and the same sense of wonder for nature I had as a child.

With the Nature Pause project, my goal is to create a space for calm and reflection in a world that constantly promotes immediacy and overstimulation. I truly believe there are people who will find value and benefit in this work. Thank you for your time.
